The project
A freeform pool in a villa courtyard with a raised spa ringed by fire, laminar jets, a stone water wall with a fire line, and a loggia with an outdoor fireplace.
The house wraps the pool on three sides, so the water was designed to be looked at from every room. A raised circular spa spills over a ring of fire into the freeform pool, laminar jets arc across the shallows at night, and a stone water wall carries a line of fire above a glass-tile face. Travertine paving, stone columns and a loggia with its own fireplace complete the courtyard.
