New Pool Construction by GB IV Designs, Austin

New Pool Construction

Custom gunite pools, spas and complete outdoor environments, engineered for Austin's limestone and clay and built by the team that designed them.

Overview

We build in gunite — shaped to the site rather than dropped into it — and we build only what we have designed. Vanishing edges, perimeter overflows, raised spas, sunken lounges, slides hidden in rockwork, porcelain-clad shells: the work in our portfolio is the work we do every week in Austin, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, Dripping Springs and the Hill Country. One accountable team carries the project from the first sketch to the first swim.

01

Built for Central Texas ground

Limestone, caliche and expansive clay each demand a different structural approach. Soil conditions, piers and drainage are engineered before the first excavation.

02

Hydraulics that stay quiet

Vanishing edges, perimeter overflows and water features are sized so the surge systems, pumps and weirs perform without noise or splash.

03

Craft in the finishes

Gunite, waterproofing, tile, stone and plaster executed by crews we have worked with for years — and inspected by the people who drew the plans.

Certified and insured

PHTA Certified Building Professional. Every crew is insured. Every contract carries our written warranty.

About new pool construction

All FAQs

Most GB IV projects run six to nine months from the first consultation to handover: three to six weeks of design, three to eight weeks of engineering and permitting, and fourteen to twenty-eight weeks of construction depending on scope. Estate-scale environments with structures, vanishing edges and extensive hardscape take longer, and we tell you so at the proposal stage.

Our projects typically begin around $250,000 and most fall between $300,000 and $600,000; estate environments with perimeter overflows, structures and complete landscapes exceed $750,000. Every project page on this site lists its investment range so you can calibrate. Exact pricing follows the site study and design, and our proposals are itemised line by line.

Everything required to build the design: site work and excavation, the engineered structural shell, plumbing and hydraulics, electrical, equipment and automation, waterproofing, tile and stone, interior finish, decking and hardscape, structures, fire and water features, lighting and specified landscape. If it is in the drawings, it is in the proposal.

Each the right way. Limestone and caliche require rock excavation and often a different shell detail; expansive clay requires piers, a structurally independent shell and drainage that keeps water away from the soil. We engineer the structure to the soil report before pricing, not after a problem appears.
