Sunset Perch
The project
A raised vanishing-edge pool in dark tile with a cantilevered cabana, in-water loungers and a spa, perched above a Hill Country sunset view.
A small terrace behind a large house, and a view worth all of it. The pool was raised to the terrace level and finished in a dark tile so the vanishing edge melts into the hills; a cantilevered cabana with a television shades one end and in-water loungers sit in the shallows. The spa spills over a dark glass wall. Everything was oriented to the west, so the sunset photographs are simply what the owners see.
