Negative Edge Estate
The project
A black-tile vanishing-edge pool behind a white modern house on acreage, with a raised spa, a sunken fire lounge and broad pale terraces.
A white modern house on open land wanted a pool that would look like black glass. The rectilinear shell is tiled in black, the vanishing edge drops toward the pasture, and a raised spa sits at the house end with a sunken fire lounge beside it. Wide pale terraces, white loungers and nothing else — the restraint is the design.
