The project

A contemporary pool framed by fluted concrete water walls with scuppers and water bowls, a sculpted slide, a round spa, a fire feature and a covered pavilion under the oaks.

Three fluted concrete walls organise this pool: one carries a row of stainless scuppers, one a line of water bowls, and the tallest conceals a sculpted slide that curls into the water. A round raised spa, a fire feature and a long tanning ledge fill the rest of the plan, and a covered pavilion with a fireplace faces it all from the house. The texture of the walls is the material story — cast concrete, pale and ribbed, catching the Hill Country light.
