The project

A freeform vanishing-edge pool in deep blue glass tile that wraps a thatched palapa, with an island palm planter, in-water loungers and a fire table on the hilltop terrace.

The brief was a resort, and the hilltop site delivered the view. The freeform pool curves around a thatched palapa with its own bar and television, drops over a vanishing edge toward the hills, and is finished in a deep blue glass tile that makes the water glow. A planted island with a palm, a row of in-water loungers and a fire table keep the family on the terrace from morning swim to late evening.
