Hilltop Overlook
The project
A freeform vanishing-edge pool below a covered terrace, with a raised glass-tile spa, sheer descents, stone columns and a grand stair down from the house.
The house sits high, so the pool was dropped a level and the view framed from the covered terrace above. A broad limestone stair descends past a raised spa clad in dark glass tile, whose sheer descents fall into the freeform pool; the far edge vanishes toward the hills. Stone columns and the pale stone of the house set the palette, with blue glass tile reserved for the spa and the overflow wall.
