Grotto Waterfall
The project
A freeform pool under live oaks with natural boulder waterfalls, a fibre-optic lit grotto, a raised spa with fire bowls and a timber pergola.
Built into a grove of live oaks, this pool is all about the rockwork. Two natural boulder waterfalls feed the pool, one through a grotto lit with fibre-optic stars; a raised spa with fire bowls sits on a stone terrace beside a timber pergola. Flagstone pads float across the shallow end. By moonlight the grotto glows blue and the oaks are uplit — the photographs were taken for exactly that.
